Definitely! I worked as a freelance web producer (i’ve since gone full time) at a company that actually places independent ‘consultants’ if you will -. there are TONS of graphic design jobs up there. Otherwise, try typing “freelance web design jobs in (your city)” or “graphic design consulting jobs (your city)”

You can be self-employed in any field, these days, so yes, you could do web/graphic design as a freelancer.
